Dr. Passero, I was told that I have borderline Type 2 Diabetes because my fasting blood sugar levels were between 130 and 150 and Blood Pressure in the 130-140s/80-90s and a rise in my cholesterol level. I have changed my diet and increased my activity level by using the treadmill. I do not want to be placed on any medications for these problems. I would like to try the natural way first. I was recommended by a friend to your site and saw many alternative agents that I could use to help me. I am taking advantage of your Ask The Doctor Section for your help. What products would you think I should use to decrease Blood Sugar, Cholesterol and Pressure levels? I look forward to hearing from you. I thank you for your time and your reply will be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Marie G.

I have been diagnosed with clinical depression. After trying numerous anti depressants since my teens on and off I decided to come off them while trying to conceive baby no 2. I am currently taking 1200mg of Omega 3 and am wondering how much I can take whilst in my situation. I will also want to take Omegas throughout the pregnancy and after...as I am prone to anxiety and depression. I had post postpartum depression with my first child and really would like to avoid it next time around :
I also take 1500mg EPO for the first part of my cycle. This is obviously stopped after ovulation and if I were to conceive.
I strongly believe in using natural methods to help with my situation as I believe the body can heal itself better using foods/herbs. I also suffer from very low self esteem and am practicing yoga once weekly. I just wish that the insurance companies could see the validity in natural health.
Any advice on the amount of Omegas I can take would be greatly appreciated,
Many Thanks.

Hi, I have a problem which probably doesn’t sound big but is seriously getting me down and damaging my social life. Ever since I was about 16/17 whenever I seem to step onto grass flies follow me or hover over my head. It is particularly worse in the summer. I cannot seem to be able to go to the park without flies swarming all above my head and it is clearly recognizable to see. It has meant me making several excuses not to go to the park and sometimes it is impossible to get out of but its an embarrassing situation and one I’m desperately trying to solve. I use hair products which my friends use and ones that have been voted the best etc. I don’t smell any differently to anyone else and I just don’t know what to do to solve the problem. There is obviously some kind of smell I’m giving off but I don’t know how to fix this.

Dr.Passero.
In February I was diagnosed with nonsmall cell lung cancer, stage lllA or B, depending on which day the oncologist fills out papers. In March and April, I underwent radiation and Chemo, not knowing any better. I had a complete response. My oncologists now speculate that my cancer is returning, though I feel well except for 2 blood clots I developed behind the clavicle and one almost dissolved in the neck area. The reason one of my oncologists thinks cancer is presntI had Trussauds syndrome clotting due to cancer. I have come to the conclusion that I am going to help myself and change DRs when possible. I have seen a CAM practioner, but even he cannot treat cancer or he would be run out of the area. He does have me on a variety of vitamin supplements , having found a number of deficiencies through lab testing. One of these is a megavitamin/mineral supplement which contains some CoQ10.
